Mount Emei is known as one of China's four great Buddhist mountains and a sacred Buddhist site revered as the root training ground of Bodhisattva Samantabhadra. Mount Emei is mainly divided into the Zhongshan District, which is home to flora and fauna and temples, and the Gaoshan District, which is home to spectacular scenery.
• Golden Peak:
This is the summit area, 3,077 meters above sea level, and is the highlight of Mount Emei's sightseeing. Here, the 48-meter-tall Statue of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva shines golden, towering against the backdrop of a sea of clouds. It's a spectacular spot that many visitors head to for its spectacular views, with sunrises in the early morning, seas of clouds in the afternoon, and, if you're lucky, the Buddha's light.
• Mannenji Temple:
This is one of the oldest and most important temples on Mount Emei. Built in the Ming Dynasty, the unbeamed brick hall is an architectural gem, and inside is a 7.85-meter-tall bronze statue of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva riding a horse with six tusks. • Ecological Monkey Area (Monkey Reserve):
This is an area where wild Tibetan monkeys, a specialty of Mount Emei, live. Despite their adorable appearance, they will try to steal your food, so be careful. Follow the guide's instructions and do not carelessly show them food or provoke them.
• Seionkaku:
This tower stands at the confluence of the Heilongjiang and Bailongjiang rivers, and was named after the clear sound of the stream it murmurs. The surrounding area is lush and perfect for a leisurely stroll.

📜 History and legends of Mount Emei
• Samantabhadra Bodhisattva Training Grounds: According to Buddhist scriptures, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva is the bodhisattva of virtue and conduct, and is said to have chosen Mount Emei as his training ground. As a result, many statues of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva are enshrined in temples in the mountains, making it a center of faith.
• Birthplace of martial arts: Mount Emei is also known as the birthplace of Emei martial arts, one of the three major schools of Chinese martial arts. In contrast to the hard punches of the Shaolin Temple, Emei martial arts is characterized by soft and quick movements, and developed as part of the training of monks.

Regular Opening Hours：All year round: 6:00-17:00 (operating times for cable cars and sightseeing buses are separate)

Admission Tickets：160 yuan (price varies depending on the peak and off-peak season). Cableway and sightseeing bus fares are separate. Advance online reservations are recommended.
Access：Take the high-speed train from Chengdu for about an hour to Mount Emeishan Station, then take a taxi or a tourist bus to the entrance of the scenic area.
4. Visiting Etiquette and Important Notes
• Clothing and equipment: The temperature at the summit is more than 10°C lower than at sea level, and the wind is strong. Cold weather gear is essential. Also, as the walking distance is long, please prepare comfortable shoes. It is also a good idea to bring rain gear.
• Itinerary planning: It takes two to three days to walk to the top of the mountain and back. If you are limited in time, it is more practical to use a tourist bus and cable car. For example, it is common to go partway up the mountain by tourist bus and then take the cable car up to near the top of the mountain.
• Dealing with monkeys:
o Do not hold food in your hands or show plastic bags.
o Do not be threatening or stare directly into the eyes.
o Follow your guide's instructions and don't stray too far from the group.
